Watching the preview movie was enough to get my PS3 fingers moving subconsciously, my mouth watering at the prospect of playing what I'm sure will be an awesome game

Looks really good, maybe it will finally be time to get a PS3, let's see how it compares to Forza.

I love GT games since the release of the first GT that made so much noise in the gaming world.What I always missed in each of the GT installments was the lack of visual customisation of those cars.Well,the lack of any visual customisation at all ( by that I mean couple of sets of body kits for each car).Except for the rear wing in GT4 there was nothing else like couple of spoiler sets for each of the cars.If they could implement drivetrain,engine,gear,suspension tuning etc.then why couldn't they give us some nice body kits to go along with it? Licence probably,who knows,but the ability to fine tune the way your car looks would be realy cool. Hell! If they could implement the kind of visual customisation NFS Most Wanted had for example then I would be absolutely exstatic and for sure locked in my room for days. And yes,I played Forza 2 and the ability to upgrade your car's body kit was the only thing Forza was better at. The rest belongs to GT.Say what you want but GT rules.....

i think this will be better than forza, i've played the other forza games and did like them so i'm not a total gt fanboy but i honestly think that this will be better

this looks like a great game! could be one of the better racers ever. i hope this ones a good one (9.0+). im hoping they bring it out in 2009 but if bringing it out in 2010 means it will be a better game, then im all for it. the fact it has rally and nascar makes it even better, its just more options and if your not a fan of one of those, you dont have to play it, but i will play all 3.

I know some people are getting frustrated with the release date being pushed back all the time but there are many other good games to play in the mean time to take your mind off it. I don't mind, I'm all in for Polyphony to make it perfect.

look at that graphic! i'm not sure if that is a cgi or in-game engine (cause GT always have awesome graphics). They got Nascar? well, that's why EA Sport give up on nascar. They got FIA WRC too? well, that's why Evolution Studios never release WRC anymore. Too bad it will never reach xbox 360.

I think its taking ages cos they've got to make the interior cockpit view for EVERY car in the game and being polyphony, they arent gonna release the game until every one is perfect

I'm kind of not sure on this Gran turismo installment. The only thing that gets me mad about it is that the cars will have to have all those sponsorship decals and crap. Is this the only option for the looks of the car? If so i'm just gonna get gran turismo 4 again.

One of the things i am looking forward to in this game is head-tracking with the Playstation Eye which will allow the game to sense the movements of the player's head and move the in-game camera accordingly, that is just so cool =)

Honestly, to tell you the truth, this game really does not look that much different than forza3(as far as graphics go). Some of the game type is different, such as rally racing and stock car racing in GT5(though i have been hearing rumours that stock cars will be added to Forza 3), and customization in Forza. Both look nice but since I dont have a PS3 and have no interest in getting one, I will be buying Forza3

I like how some people say they're p*ssed at the time it's taken to make the game and so they're not bothering buying it. Like that's gonna make a difference.... what's the point of waiting if your not gonna buy it? Just relax, don't get angry, and it'll be here before you know it. It's gonna be amazingly brilliantly fantastically awesome...

screw forza 3, bring on GT5!

ok It looks like the first week this game is out, I will go blind will not sleep for at least 3 days and most likely die :)

The reason its taking so long is that polyphony digital are pure perfectionists. For them this game has to be the best. Also they only have a team of about 150 people so give them time to do what they do best. As they have done for years

I love car's and car games period. I have forza, GT5 prologue, and Dirt, Need for speed undercover, all of them but the Gran Turismo has been the best i have been playing them since i was 5 and i still love them especially Gran Turismo 2 i play it on my ps2 all the time. But this new game is definitely a game to look forward to!

microsoft created 2 forza games and soon they will release forza 3,while sony is busy with GT5,how big do you think this game will be??!!,they will have the daytona speed-way with nascar cars,a championship for rally cars and the amazing amount of cars and tracks of GT,i just hope for visual options like forza,and importantly:A RELEASE DATE.

@AboIisher Somehow, GT is called the real Simulator in consoles. It have more time in development, more dedication. Forza is not even close.

if i right i think for all of the true racing fans who don't really care about customization or awesome online but who want an awesome driving simulator this game is a winner

Absolutely can't wait for this release, I've been playing this series since day one, maybe a bit bias but I really do believe it is, and always will be the best racing simulator out there. Hurry up! :)

I agree with Tomclark21 GT is by far a better simulation than FM, but I am waiting for the release of GT5 and FM3 so I can see if forza improved enough to overcome gran turismo. I have a question though is anyone out there actually excited about nascar being in the game because driving in a circle doesn't seem like fun to me.

I really can't wait for this game. I get so annoyed when people say Forza is a better simulator. The day you can play Forza with a G25 steering wheel and clutch is the day you can say that Forza is a better simulator. Damage or not, I'm ready for this game, just like I've bought every other Gran Turismo game at launch.

iam an owner of xbox360.I trully imagine your frustration about the release date but be patience cause the more you are waiting the better will be the result.I hope one day to play this game on xbox360.Have fun with games, not with consoles

Just like a lot of other people, this is the number one game I have been anticipating to be released. I just find it stressful that all these videos and teasers are being released, and the release date not being stated or even possibly pushed back to 2010 (from what I've heard). I hope this is not true, because i have heaps of faith in the GT team, however this lack of thoughtfulness for the fans is quite disappointing.

wow! the addition of NASCAR cars really must mean they are trying to beat Forza Motorsport. For me, this seems to be working. Also, this has a LOT more value than the Prologue version.

Real car enthusiast will understand this game is not about "body kits or chrome alloys all da ricer shyt" but more of Real Driving simulator and correct me if am wrong if your forza FAN your missing out A LOT

To be honest I dont think gt 5 will look better than gt5 prologue only the backgrounds probably will .It will be the same think with more cars and tracks, and I hope they will add damage to the whole game and not just wrc because thats how rumor has it.I know you will put thumbs down for what I am about to say but thats my opinion .Althought It has more cars than forza 3 I think FM 3 is going to be better with all these limitless customisation options besides the fact it has as good graphics as gt5 and that the track they showcased at E3 was AWESOME

Yep, missing F1. But did I just see Le Mans in there at the end? I saw some LMP cars... Le Mans would be sweet. 24 hours of racing on the PS3. How epic would that be?

If cars aren't "invincible",this game will reason enough to own a PS3. Hope CRASHING will be simulated as well!

Forza is actually a more forgiving game than a more "realistic physics wise" I mean seriously if your driving at 140mph and do a tight turn your obviously gonna spin out but no Forza is too forgiving, GT makes you break instead of going head on and drift, that's what you call an Arcade racer my friend.
