Gran Turismo is always good

User Rating: 9 | Gran Turismo 5 PS3
Gran Turismo has always been known for its realism, it's photo realistic graphics and its selection of cars. Gran Turismo revolutionized realism back when the PlayStation came out. Gran Turismo 2 introduced rallies. Gran Turismo 3 showed the power of the PS2 and Gran Turismo 4 pushed the limit even further. Gran Turismo 5 is the reason to have a PS3. It has a great selection of cars, some great places to race on and real drivers to take you step by step on certain challenges. You no longer have to pass license tests to race certain events like you did in past Gran Turismo games. Now, you can just race them with the car you either need or want. The game is no different than the past Gran Turismo games as they are always about realism. Nothing has changed about it. The only changes to Gran Turismo 5 is the introduction of NASCAR. Yes... NASCAR is in Gran Turismo 5. A lot of the stock cars are in this game. Everything from Jeff Gordon's DuPont 24 Chevy to Dale Earnhardt Jr's #8 car. There's even a few known NASCAR tracks. One being Daytona USA. Another change they made to this game is the day to night transition. Rally races usually do this. It'll be day then it'll turn to night. Gran Turismo 5 Prologue introduced Ferrari so it's no question that GT5 will have it too along with Lamborghini. Oh and since Prologue introduced the cockpit view, GT5 uses it as well. They even included the Top Gear race track. (from the BBC series) A bunch of Gran Turismo's fictional tracks are in this game and older tracks along with Nurburgring Nordschleife (first seen in Gran Turismo 4). Gran Turismo 5 sure has a lot packed into a PS3 Blu-ray disc. Cars crash but there's only slight damage but I personally don't care about that. Forza does it good but this is Gran Turismo. I also noticed a little screen tear but it's not noticible. This is still a great game and anyone who ever played Gran Turismo knows what they'll be getting into.
