This game is incredibly boring. Reminds me of a golf game with cars. The menu soundtrack of classic music really is boring as well. Needs more upbeat music, and for all the advertising, I cant help but not understand why quality bands couldnt have been incorporated into the soundtrack. I cant believe it took that long for this to come out. It is fun for about 15 hours, but then every track seems familar. For the amount of time and money it took to come out with this game, it could have been so much better. One addition would have been the unique instrumentation panels of the inside of each car. Does a 76 Ferrari really crash at every turn, while a 69 Corvette handles smoothly for $50,000 cheaper? How is it that a 600hp 07 Mustang completed tuned out has trouble passing a Honda Civic with a quarter of the HP and no tuning? Does anybody really have fun racing a VW bus? Some of the gold trophies are also ultra unrealistic to achieve. For example, the NASCAR Jeff Gordon test, which also has terrible voice overs. I would however say that the vehicle modeling is excellent which is one of the few positive things I have to say about this game. Spending $100,000 on tuning up a car yields a used value of $4500, thats also not realistic. All and all, after spending millions on development, I think Polyphony could have come out with a much better product.
