Great looking graphics but disappointing game play

GT5, was a long waited game for me and it was one of the first purchases I did after I but my PS3. I was really curious to play it and the first impression was good; an outstanding intro with F2007 at the end which makes the game more desirable. Incredible graphics with real life details for each car, especially for one like me who likes to drive and race with in car camera/view.
But after spending some hours, I started to get bored because game play wasn't interesting as I thought. Even if I change the difficulty level I didn't get the excitement that I was expecting and I switched do play other racing simulation like NFS Shift or Dirt2 which I believe that they gave me more and better game play experience. I would like to recommend this game to everyone who wants to experience great looking graphics w,th 1080p HD experience but they must be aware to not expect much for game play.
