Japanese cars have proven to be the best cars overall time after time.

I was never a racing fan until after I've played this. GT3 single handedly won me over. The fun level in racing games before GT3 seemed low, with mediocre graphics and simple objectives: be the first guy to finish and pat yourself on the back. In GT3, the gameplay is much better. The graphics are very nice, the soundtrack can get repetitive but it's still solid, the multiplayer can get very intense, and the depth of the game is amazing. There are cars from almost every car manufacturer there is, from USA to Japan. You can see and race the cars you see everyday in real life, or race exotic and more F1 style vehicles. The simulation mode really does a good job in offering you many choices in the garage. I learned more about cars and tuning them through this game, it's fun and enjoyable at the same time, unlike standing around listening to some blown out mechanic. It's more realistic than games like Need For Speed, where things feel unrealistic and has a more cartoonish feel. In GT3 you get into the technical aspects of cars, learn exactly what makes each car twitch, how to upgrade them, the cars and their manufacturers' history, and more. You learn a lot by playing this wonderful game. Definitely a benchmark of racing games.
