Ghoulies shines where it matters most to its core demographic: Kids love bright, colorful graphics and exaggerated, comical horror. Don't quote me on that. I would assume they'd also enjoy ghoulish sounds and spooky moans. Don't quote me on that either. Too bad the game offers little in the way of replay. After the staggeringly easy five hour quest is over, there is little reason for going back, save for the mildly amusing bonus games. I'm glad Microsoft has Rare in its pocket and definitely look forward to more Rare stuff. This one is worth a rental, at least.
