On the weekend of December 2, it's G.A.M.E. time: Be there, or be...sitting around with your family, stuffing your face with Thanksgiving leftovers, choking back tears because you're bored out of your mind. What does G.A.M.E. stand for? It's the Games and Music Experience, and it's a GameSpot premiere live event in which you'll get to play the best games of the year, plus get an exclusive sneak-peek at some of the hottest games of '06--all while listening to some great contemporary musical acts. The action will all go down in Moscone Center in downtown San Francisco, California. (See Map)
Hundreds of different games will be playable and on display at G.A.M.E. Sign up for a weekend pass, and you'll come away bleary-eyed, having gotten your fill of all the very best that today's (and tomorrow's) gaming has to offer. The biggest titles from all the top publishers are going to be there.
We're gonna be there, too, doing our thing just like we do every week on our live show, On the Spot, or at the Electronic Entertainment Expo. If you're a local to the San Francisco Bay Area (or even if you're not), we hope to meet you between our back-to-back stage demonstrations, featuring never-before-seen product demos, live tournaments, and much more.
There's more to G.A.M.E. than games and music--we just couldn't think of a better acronym. But when you show up, expect the unexpected. Graffiti, ninjas, low-rider hopping...that's our kind of crazy. If it's yours too, get over to G.A.M.E. and we'll make sparks fly.
The three days of G.A.M.E. will pack in an onslaught of excellent musical acts, including a number of great bands whose work you may have heard in some of your favorite games. Hieroglyphics, Lyrics Born, Meat Beat Manifesto, and many others will be on display--and stay tuned for more announcements!
As the big event draws nearer, we'll tip you off to our special plans for our stage demonstration. Stay tuned to this space to find out which of the biggest game developers are going to be there, live and in person, to show off their latest masterpieces in the making. Just think--you could end up shaking hands with a few game industry luminaries and never want to wash that hand again!
You've gotta pay to play, my friend. However, if you do the math, we think you'll find that it's quite a steal. Considering how you can blow through your typical first-person shooter in a couple of sittings, G.A.M.E.'s a regular bargain-basement discount by comparison. GameSpot members, act quickly to get a major discount and guarantee yourself access to the whole three-day extravaganza!
