Did you wish upon a star that one day some one will make a perfect rpg game that will take you to another world... :)

the word epic is a sad unworthy word to describe this game, if God has a computer gothic 2 will be installed on it.

yes my rpg fans this game is so absorbing, so amazing, and so hard it almost resembles real life, well a better version of real life that is, since even real life sucks when compared to gothic 2.

the story is great, and it will keep you involved until the end, the characters are engaging, and the voice overs beat oblivion by a long shot, oblivion used 3 actors for sounds, gothic 2 used more :P, although its not as good in English as the original language it does the job nicely, the levels are simply epic and my only regret is that the map should have been more massive.

the game play is the beacon which all rpg games should follow from now until the invention of the star trek holodecks.

Combat is HARD and rewarding and playing a mage is so much fun I played through the game 4 times as a mage. I won't give any spoilers but in gothic 2 you start as an average guy with almost no skills, then as you play you get to chose your class later on through quests and play experience and that is also one of the high points of the game. You can advance in 2 professions also which add more depth to game play.

If you like rpgs then GET THIS GAME and play it, you will not regret it, if you like easy games where pressing mouse 1 = win, then go shot your self in the head for you are unworthy of life.

the mood and monsters in this game are the best I ever saw, and for the first time in an rpg game the black troll almost made me soil my pants.

Gothic 2 is one of those games that needs to be placed on a golden obelisk for all to worship in awe.
