Can you survive in the realm all alone? Its a battlefield out there!
didnt played any gothic game but what i see from this trailer it is outdated... graphics gameplay etc... oblivion is better
it looks just like the trailer
kinda reminds me more of Two worlds rather then Elder scrolls
Gothic sucks!!!!!!Oblivion rocks and Witcher is great too.
gothic 3 should have better story... And main quest sucks find 12 chalices.... 2 is waaay better!
seems alright havent read bout it yet, but i hope you dont need to rebuild stats again.
It's still a good game, though I agree with BoDoo about insane time it took for killing sprees. FG is still buggy as hell (NPCs doing their seizure looking animation while in their house for instance) and some other things that were in the original G3 game that never got fixed. It's fun to play, but, like the other Jowood games I like to play (guild 2), is not finished. Said it before man! JOWOOD please hire new QA guys!
Let's face it, this game is for gothic lovers not for rpg games players. I liked G2 (played 3 times, 1-st time i played 3days and 3 nights non stop :P ) Gothic still remain my "soul" game but G3 i dont really enjoy plaing it, i had to use trainer (god mode) to masacre houndred of orcs, clean every city, and i was thinking...wtf i can waste my time having a beer or shisha. Good day to everyone.
Gothic 1-2 was great but the last one was just awful since i had AMD dual core and the game had issues with it. I know they released the patch later on but still it was buggy. Now I'm really disappointed in JoWood. Wont even try this expansion but I'm hopping and looking forward for Gothic 4.
JoWood 1 - 1 Bugs
Gothic 3 wasn't as good as G2, but I still liked it. I'm definitely getting the expansion.
When the character is swordfighting, he looks like a paralytic... But I liked the first Gothic games, so I hope this one will be great as well. But it's never too late to change the character animation, they should look into the Witcher - animation there was spectacular.
never played Gothic before, but it does look interesting.
looking forward to this, dragon age, two worlds:temptation, maybe dungeon lords 2
Gothic 3 wasnt bad, it had bugs galore though. I would assume they have been fixed since then. No more over powered animals btw. Strange thing though, i heard that another company is in charge of Gothic. So who knows if this xpack will be better or worse. I definately suggest people not familiar with the franchise try it out, its one of my favorites. Play the first two games if you can as well, amazing!!!
Huh, actually looks good, but so did Two Worlds.
gothic 2 was great, gothic 3 was a damn mess I remember passing minimum PC hardware requirements by a good deal and still getting lag outside. Also certain animals could string up combos so they'd attack you forever while you got setback after setback.
*yawn*
I payed $50 for G3, and played it for about 15 minutes. Never picked it up again. Cant beleive they are makeing an exspansion.
Nice
Well, I can't say the combat impresses. Melee still looks awful, and the final scene of the hero ineptly swinging at an orc who then proceeds to run away like a gutless worm doesn't inspire confidence. I think I'll be passing on this one.

reminds me of fable
wow, with all the new generation games coming out, this is like hidden and overlooked. I hope they fix the bugs with this version.
Reminds me of two worlds...
My question is did they fix all of the glaring bugs in GIII? Last I recall, they made an unplayable game and then completely ignored customers by not releasing fixes / patches. I recall they made a patch eventually - but it had no fixes for the problems that made the game broken. Have they since addressed this? If not - what's the use of an expansion?
i think we all agree with the fact that we could get over the combat sistem if the story would be a very good one...so..i really really hope that this time they wont do like gothic 3 : kill 7456347864 orcs, yeeei the end
Agree, it looks the same - a little dated for nowdays, but no doubt I'll get it and aim to complete the game. G2 was the best in series for storyline and the expansion was a great job too. I liked the shorter quests better in G3 though, seemed like you were choosing your way and forced you not to remain neutral for too long. Hope they don't just re-hash G3 - those save and load times alone killed it, even without the quest bugs. Also, this teaser movie is too short to satisfy old or potential players, let us see what's new.
I really hate the dx8ish graphics...
It looks the same as ...Gothic 3...I really hope they fixed the simplistic combat system, and skills. Gothic 1 and 2 were great!
nothing new here XD, its the same game with the same bugs..
Based on what was shown in the trailer, it doesn't look like hand to hand combat was improved at all. Big oversight.

Wow, could this possibly look more dated? I thought Gothic 3 1.0 would look like this trailer but it was the most jagged Pong-like world I'd seen in quite a few years. I doubt the Forsaken Gods will be any better.
That added nothing new to what I've already seen.
qft scullyy
meh
maybe I'll finally finish the game when this comes out.
