A good effort

An enhanced remake of the original Goldeneye would of been preferred. Something similar to the halo combat evolved re-release would of been better. This game is responsive and plays well but the story does not pull you in at all. The weapon variety is descent but does not compare to the original N64 version. The graphics are descent but nothing too special, especially for a 2011 release.

What was nice about this game was the aiming system. You have the stick layout options which in my opinion should be standard in every game (damn Portal didn't have Legacy!). The down the scope aim is identical to COD and is very responsive and has an easy learning curve for gamer's of any skill level.

The element that bugged me the most was perhaps the characters in the game. The characters throughout the story are flat. The fact that they are supposed to be the original characters from the film but are different actors really leaves the player with a deflated experience. Overall the game is a good effort but I expected more.
