I have no idea what Gamespot is on, 'cause this game deserves much more credit

User Rating: 7.5 | Godzilla: Unleashed WII
Godzilla Unleashed really doesn't have that much to it. You can buy things (monsters, pictures of monsters, etc.), fight CP or human player using custom/or standard brawls, or play a thinner-than-paper story.

G Unleashed's story mode lets you take control of one of many of TOHO's legendary monster, each in one of four factions (Earth Defenders, GDF (Global Defense Force), Aliens, or Mutants). And then you battle other monsters in twenty days of combat all around the world.
A problem with this is that when playing for Mutans or Aliens, you're the bad guy. At the end of the story, you see a Japaneese Agent of somesort saying, "The Vortak have won...Earth is doomed." So basically the game says, "alright we screwed you over no happy ending."

You can play as all monsters from the movie series (except for a few like Ebrah, Batra, and Hedora) as well as two new monsters.
The problem with this is that the game makes you purchase an individual freaking faction before a monster. And then still NOT EVERY MONSTER IN UP FOR BUYS. Ssssoooo how do you know how to unlock a monster for the store? Look it up here...i guess.

Controls are OK and in my opinion they work well. At times they can turn slugish and annoying but this happens only whenever shot by a feeze tank in the game. Go figure.

Godzilla Unleashed is a fan's dream come true. If you own a Wii and like Godzilla, than this is for you.. For anyone else, I honestly don't know how you should decide whether to buy this game or not. Maybe rent it and see if it's worth a buy for you.
On its own as a monster brawler the game passes with flying colors. But for story this game just sinks into the mud.

Oh, and did I mention the color and look of the game is really good? Well it is.
