Fun to pick up and play for short periods, fairly entertaining for thos Godzilla fans.

This games was one that I saw on the shelves for some time, and laughed a little at seeing it. Godzilla was always a cartoon I watched a kid, and the early Japanese movies with the giant lizard was time well spent. So I decided to drop the money to buy the game.

After playing it, I have to say it doesn't differ to much from a standard fighting game. The difference is you are playing a giant monster instead of a human or other normal size creature and you are generally roaming around landscapes with buildings and other small items.

This game was certainly a lot of fun to sit down for an hour or so and bash the hell out of the Godzilla favourites and also picking up buildings and generally causing destruction where I go.

The graphics aren't too bad, the details in the landscapes are certainly a little lacking, but the details in the monsters are true representations of the originals. Other graphics from the special attacks by the other monsters and Godzilla are good and suit the games style. The sounds too is a good reproduction of original Godzilla sounds and the music is more of something in the background, but not something that you can listen to over and over, and it will be something you have to listen to over and over, unless you turn it down.

Game-play is standard for a fighting game with good use of buttons for the special attacks. I would say it takes a good 3-4 fights before you get to a good understanding of all of the buttons and the special attacks of your favourite monster.

Overall, the standard game doesn't take too long to play, but there is enouigh replayablility to pick this game up on sale and play with your friends who also remember and like the team of demolition monsters.
