This game represents one of the greatest achievements in gaming history.
GRAPHICS: GoW is one of the best-looking PS2 titles. Some parts are so good that they visually even surpass some next gen graphics. You must play it to see it. The sense of scale is huge. All those mythical greek locations, environments and creatures are designed superbly. Kratos looks really bad@$$. Animations are great. I really like how the blades of chaos change color from yellow to red as you upgrade them. The in-game movies are beauty to look at and they give the game and the story some sort of personality and style.

GAMEPLAY: The gameplay is combination of combat, platforming and puzzle-solving. Combat and fighting mechanics are a blast. It's entertaining as hell. Kratos like to rip off heads, tear limbs, cut bodies and spill tons of blood. It never gets old or boring. Platforming is often involved and connected with puzzles. To be honest, i had some problems with the puzzles cause they seemed a bit too hard. They will make you stop and think. If the puzzles were somewhat easier and less frustrating and if there was more weapons, i would have given this game a perfect score.

STORY: One word: amazing. Not too complicated and not too hard to follow. In one hand, GoW is about how far a man would go to gain ultimate power and glory and in second hand it's about revenge. What makes it amazing is the way how it's told and presented through cutscenes with some awe-inspiring music and truly epic narrator's voice. It will blow your mind.

SOUND: Pure epicness. You can compare it to to the soundtracks of Metal Gear Solid and Uncharted. It's like the epic music from Lord of the rings movie or Troy. Every boss battle is accompanied with incredible music which adds to the feeling that something epic and big is going on. Voice actors fit to their characters which they represent. Both Kratos' and narrator's voice are unique and awesome.

REPLAY VALUE: You can play it 10 times and it won't get boring. After you finish it once, you can play it with some crazy unlockables. Challenge of the gods is fun and adds to the replayability. It would be even better if you could use all of your upgraded weapons from the beginning of a new playthrough.

OVERALL: Without any doubt, GoW is one of the greatest games of all time that takes action-adventure genre to the higher level. A must own for anyone.
