Despite the short campaign, God of War III will leave you absolutely stunned in it's blood soaked, defining experience!!
1) Graphics--Absolutely incredible, possibly the best on the PS3 so far to say the least.
2) Plot/Story--Unforgettable, the final quest for vengeance will be as good as it's ever going to get
3) Characters--Wonderfully voice acted, gritty, memorable, and just how you remember and like them
4) Has it lived up to the hype?----YES
Now, what makes God of War III so much different from the others out there?
From the moment the game starts, you are hit with a massive sense of scale that has NEVER been seen in any other game ever made. As Gaia climbs Mount Olympus, you battle enemies on her shoulder, adapting to an ever changing environment. The huge set-pieces in the game are just jaw dropping; not only because of the size and importance, but also because it is all IN GAME. And the great thing about it is the game never suffers less than 60 fps.
Graphics.......speechless. Could I really be playing a game that looks THIS good???!! I found myself asking that multiple times while I made my way to Zeus. They have no doubt set the bar in next generation gaming.
Gore.....the most impressive...and most violent I have ever witnessed in a video game. Hannibal Lector would get nauseous playing this game, and that's why I love it! Top notch brutality, you'll find no mercy in Kratos' heart as he does the most horrid thing imaginable to his enemies.
Gameplay--still the best in the genre, God of War III manages to further refine it's hack and slash engine, and they do it with absolute perfection. From all the new weapon choices and combo moves you'll be able to throw together, the fun never seems to stop, and repetitiveness never enters the mind. The game runs so smooth there were times I wanted to cry. The boss battles define the inciting points of the story, and are very well paced throughout, and there are plenty to go around.
Are there any cons????
Unfortunately, yes, and just the one. The length. I found myself beating GOW III in just over 9 hours. A very indecent length in a game, especially when all it really has is its single player. But those 9 nine hours were probably the most amazing I've ever spent on my PS3.

Santa Monica Studios manages to bring their historic trilogy to a thundering, epic, and very satisfying conclusion. You'll be left speechless and extremely sad that the series has come to end. But what an end it was! Kratos will leave a trail of blood to the top of Mount Olympus where you will decide his fate, and a fate you will never forget.
In the end, there will be only chaos!
