The best of hack-n-slash + puzzle solving that any game could ever offer.

God of War is a game that anyone can jump right in and start playing whether they are a novice or pro gamer. Just don't go playing this game on Hard if your a rookie. Its story is set where you DON"T have to play the first game but it sure wouldn't hurt to understand this story. Enough of that so nothing gets revealed.
Graphics, by far some of the nicest seen on the PS2, they packed it so nice that some times the screen has these little hic up's on frame rate. Nothing horrible in any fashion though. The gore, nudity, his high on this game as well. Even the little touches of particles in the air in nice. Gameplay is run of the mill hack in slash but with combo's and special attacks that you gain through the game. Almost worthy of calling it Metriod, no not really. Its a fluid moving game with nice controls and actions. Although Hard mode is almost stupid in the precise button hits needed sometimes as well as boss battles being a bit retarded on Hard. I had to play it from Easy half way through the game.
The sound keeps the game sounding epic and relies on screams, weapon hits, and music. But what matters is how it flows so well in the game. No sound effects seamed out of place anywhere.
This is a Must buy for any fan of the previous installment.

God of War II is a tad-tad-tad-bit too much like the first game, combat-wise, etc. But with less puzzles and more bosses
