When God of War 1 was released back in 2005, people loved it and were instantly drawn to it. I thought it was a great game but could never actually get too into it because i felt that the gameplay was too basic and it felt like a button masher to me. However, it still had an amazing story that made me want to play the game alone just to see how it would unfold. God of War 2 however, fixes all these problems. The gameplay in God of War 2 is just plain amazing. Every single thing that Kratos does makes you just feel like cheering with power because all of it is so bad ass. The gameplay has so many different combos and cinematics. Just about every single fight in the game feels different than the last. Also, even though this game is a last gen game for the Playstation 2 the graphics are just superb. It is a real shame that the game was not made for the Playstation 3 because the graphics would just be unreal on that. Anyway, the enviorment just are lush with detail and if you take time and look around you are just amazed that the Playstation 2 has the kind of power to pull a game like this off. The sound of the game is also fantastic. Be it the great voice acting for Kratos, the Gods and the Titans or the sounds of sword or blades clashing against monsters or the screams of torture of from a man being sacrificed its all terrific. However, the best part about the game, like the last one is the story. It's just soo engaging and at the end of it all you just want to pull out your hair and cant wait for the 3rd one to come out.
overall, God of War 2 is one of the best games ive played this year and im sure that if you play it, you too will not be able to wait for the 3rd one. This game is just grate buy it and have fuun !
