God of War II is not only as good as the original, it just might be a little better.

God of War II is the sequel to 2005's megahit action game. It takes place not long after the original. Kratos killed the god of war, Ares, and Athena gave Kratos the god of war's throne, so now he's the god of war. But, he's not satisfied, and leads the Spartan army to destroy city after city. The Olympians don't like this very much, and during an attack on the city Rhodes, Zeus kills Kratos and takes his godly powers. Before Kratos is taken to Hades, Gaia, titan of the earth, tells him that he can get revenge on Zeus, and to do that, he has to find the Sisters of Fate on a remote island. So Kratos seeks them out. If you've played the first God of War, then the gameplay will be familiar to you, as it is relatively unchanged. You fight monsters with your chain blades, solve some complicated puzzles here and there, and fight bosses. The graphics are the best you can see on the PS2, and will probably go down as the best looking game the PS2 will ever have. In closing, God of War II is not only as good as the original, it just might be a little better.
