This is not a bad game, and the only other God of war i played before this was Chains of Olympus (CoO).. This time instead of the way (CoO) started out.. you start out on a ship and there is a few baddies for you to battle for you to test out your weapons on.. i have been playing all weekend and i have to say this was not that exciting..
FIrst, the sound track 9/10: it matches well with the gameplay and helps keep up the tempo.
Next, Story: I love the way the story is told, the way they flow in and out of cut-scenes and game-play is seamless smooth transition.
Graphics: as most times with the psp, cutscenes look gorgeous while gameplay graphics are a notch below but still pretty good.
Now we come to where the problem is, The Gameplay: There is a few new different items and weapons that differ from (CoO) but all in all it felt like just an expansion of it. The same hack and slash routine with some new bosses but the general population of enemies you fight are vastly similar to those of (CoO)
I could barely put down the first God of war when i first got it for the psp, but this one i find myself forcing to pick up.
In conclusion: As a standalone title for the psp God of War Ghost of Sparta, is exemplary from the gorgeous graphics
to the well told stories and the fun gameplay.
As an addition to the long running series however, this tries to hard to fit in, it takes little risk by way of bringing new content and while not a bad game, this is not really a "new" game.
