A fantastic collection!
God of War
What you have here it's the same game that you had on the PS2, only upscaled for a HD resolution, that looks pretty good, has a constant frame-rate and it has Trophy support. This game plays fine, just like the PS2 version, the game modes and the gameplay is the same, like the PS2 and the cinematics are low-rez and quite jarring in comparison of the whole game, not quite as the PS2 version.
This version is great to anybody who hasn't played the original version when released back in 2005, but if you had the experience before there's nothing really new to find here. I was disappointed with the somewhat false advertisement about the game being re-mastered in HD when not all the content was upscaled. It might not bother everybody, but for me just felt lazy and a big no-no in the face of going the extra steps to make this an excellent package. Some of the cinematics look upscaled and other videos look like a straight port from the PS2, and it will hurt your eyes.
it's hard to find something to complaint when you can but this game packaged with the GOW2 in a single disc. I had a good time reviving the glory of this game all over again.
God of War II
There's a really good reason why God of War 2 is considered one of the best titles of the PS2 era, and having it remastered its just another layer that makes this game even better. As far as i can tell the content is the same as the PS2 but with HD visuals, so expect just a blast of good gameplay, great cinematics and an amazing story to top it off.
Not really much else to say, but what i can tell you is that this game is harder than the other GOW games, at least i had a hard time in some portions of thr game. but the challenge is welcome, but at some points the lack of checkpoints were frustrating to me. this is a minor complaint and probably for the fact that i might not be as good in this game, but bare in mind that i play this games on the hard difficulty.
i can strongly recomend this game for anybody that enjoys a great package and a brutal story and rage for the Gods.
