This is a Collection that should be in every PS3 owner's collection.
If it isn't obvious already, the God of War Collection is basically God of War and God of War II, which were originally for the PS2, for the PS3. That's pretty much it. Therefore, if you want my opinion on those games, check 'em out at my reviews. Not much has been changed in the game itself, so there's not a lot to mention. There's the fact that both games have been refined visually, and it shows, though they're of course still no match to the modern day PS3 graphics. Still, it's a big improvement on the original, and that's what it's all about.
The other thing that was added, are Trophies. And that's a nice addition, I think. Even though the Trophies are mostly story-based, not hard to obtain, and the Collection basically forms two easy Platinum Trophies for all the Trophyhunters and Trophywhores out there, it's always nice to see a game sport 'em.
So yeah, that's basically it. A visual update and some Trophies. But the timing for this was perfect. It was basically an appetizer for God of War III, and boy did it work. Plus, the originals are two of my favourite games anyway, being able to play them on my PS3 was more or less a luxury.
Anyway, I know this is a bit of a weird review, but like I said, if you want my opinion on the actual games in this Collection, look up my seperate reviews of God of War and God of War II. I'm giving the Collection a 10.0 by the way, since I rated God of War a 10.0 and God of War II a 9.5. Combined, that makes for a 9.7.
