A must have for those who haven't experienced the sheer might and brutality of Kratos!

User Rating: 9.5 | God of War Collection (Ultimate Combo Pack) PS3
For anyone who hasn't played the first two God of War games on the PS2, the God of War Collection is an essential addition to your games pile/stack/neat and tidy ensemble.
However for those of you who have played the first two, this is essentially the same games, save for HD graphics, 62fps and trophy support.

In God of War you play as the anti-hero Kratos as he battles his way through the city of Athens and the mighty temple of Pandora in servitude to Gods of Olympus, tasked with destroying the almighty and all-powerful God of war himself - Ares. Along the way Kratos battles against the vast armies of Ares, the terrible Hydra and many other fanstastical monsters of Greek myth. Using a fluid combat system which can only be described as "button mashing, but with serious skill involved" Kratos dismembers, decapitates and evicerates all foes that lay in his path towards the ultimate act of vengeance.
Kratos' quest takes him on a journey through oceans, burning cities, vast deserts, mountainous temples and the underworld itself. And through the journey his dark story unfolds, ultimately explaining the burning rage and vengeance he directs at the God of war.

Reprising his role as the angsty Spartan warrior in God of War II, Kratos is now the new God of war, abusing his powers to make Sparta a world power, despite alienating himself from the other Gods of Olympus. Kratos is finally betrayed the king of the Gods himself, Zeus and stripped of his powers. Aided by the mysterious Titans, Kratos embarks another epic quest to change his fate and bring down the rule of Zeus. Although there is less of a story in the sequel and less scenic locales, this is compensated by an expanded combat system and an increase in boss battles, all spectacular and many including other heroes of Greek legend seeking to change their fates as well.

These two superb games included in one blu-ray disc are definatly worth having if your a fan of beat 'em up games, Greek mythology or just epic games in general, and few games can even compare with epic-ness of God of War and God of War II.
