Cute little collection of new puzzle games for the PS3 downloadable service.

ok...it's nothing to rush out and download but if you like puzzle games and colorful cute little graphic touches this isn't a bad addition to the PSN downloadable service. the game actually consists of 3 games you can download (separately for $2.99 or all 3 for $5.99); Swizzle Blocks, Aquatica and Skyscraper. Swizzle blocks is in the Bejeweled arena. there's a grid of squares with a number of colored blocks that you can rotate clockwise or counter clockwise in sets of 4. the goal is to get four blocks of the same color together to eliminate them (they blow up sending gears and cartoon eyes everywhere). it's a cute game visually and can offer some challenge and is a little hectic if you're playing with up to 4 friends fighting for points. Aquatica is basically like Dr. Mario but with water mines. sets of 3 fall down from above and you have to line up 3 of the same color in a straight line horizontally, vertically whatever and eliminate them. this is probably the least enjoyable of the 3 games. it's simple enough but just not that fun. when you rotate the mines you can only change the outer mines but the middle one stays in the middle. and after a while you just lose interest and stop caring. even in VS mode. where this game really shines (the bright spot anyway) is Skyscraper. in retrospect i probably would of just downloaded this game for 3 bucks instead (although i guess all 3 for 6 bucks makes more sense as a bargain). you control a cool little one eyed space man (i know corny enough yet? lol...but it's a puzzle game...it can be cute and get away with it) that has to get to the roof of these buildings by getting across several levels in each building. you move along colored blocks from left to right. you can jump...there are a few cool little weapons for multiplayer race modes, warp blocks, conveyer belts and a few other things thrown in for good measure. the game is simple but figuring out how to get across the different levels is a bit addictive and fun as you progress. race mode is quite a bit of fun too. overall this is a cool little new addition to the PSN download service but no where near a must buy. if anything i suggest at least downloading Skyscraper. that's a fun game that'll offer a bit of fun for you when you want something simple to pick up and play. all 3 games are colorful and have cute HD visuals. gameplay on all 3 is also very crisp and simple in theory. a bit disappointing as a collection of games but it has its brightspot (Skyscraper).
