A nice turn based game that will keep you playing for a while
The game is, well a turned-base-strategy game, it contains two stories one following a girl named Ursula who wanted to join the gladiator tournaments to show how strong she was to her older, over-protective brother, the other I haven't tried quite yet. The story progresses as you go through the game through small narratives in the battles.
The gameplay is like a regular turn based strategy's gameplay. One interesting things is the swing meters which can be helpful if your good at timing so you can get a critical. You can travel around multiple worlds to discover lots of new battles and encounters. There are about 6 arenas when you start out but more are unlocked as you go. Since there are multiple arenas to fight in, you can have lots of different fights to fight. Also you may buy equipment and new characters but be careful, if one of your characters loses a random encounter (NOT an arena battle) then you lose them permanently. Overall the game I must warn you can be a somewhat tedious, but you can get rid of that by reading back stories and stories about the arenas and the characters, which can be interesting.
Also Gladius has a multiplayer in which you can battle your friends in some battles after you complete chapter 2, I have not quite tested this out yet, but I don't think it will be a big disappointment.
Graphics and Sound are pretty good, gameplays good, overall I think it's safe to say if your looking for a good old fashioned TBS then Gladius is right down your ally.
