Just plain amazing. An excellent example of how light gun games can survive for years to come.

Light Gun Games. In today's age of new game consoles, these are often forgotten. Inspite of this, many gamers and non-gamers alike have fond memories of pumping quarter after quarter into an Area 51 machine, or Time Crisis, or The House Of The Dead. As I roll off these names, I am recalling finger crapping memories for many people. Sadly, light gun games are slowly fading out of existence. It was to my great surprise when my local arcade had a new light game game. At first thought, I would have thought it would be The House Of The Dead, or Time Crisis, or perhaps a Silent Scope. But to my surprise, I saw that instead of pistol controllers, a carbine sat in the controller cradle. Excited, I quickly grabbed some change out of my pocket and tried the game out.

Gameplay
-------------
As with all light gun games, the first task at hand is to adjust the sight. Simply aim down the ring sights on the carbine, and align it with the laser sight on screen. Afterwards, we arrive at the equipment selection menu. Unlike most arcade light gun games, this game offers you the chance to select your own equipment and decide which missions to do. You can change between different body armor costumes, and you can equip different weapons such as carbines, assault rifles, shotguns, and pistols. After all your gear has been chosen, you select a mission to play.

Most of the missions go by with standard style light gun rail movement, with you shooting the enemies before they can shoot you. You reload by shooting off the screen. At time, you will be given options to do certain tasks, such as "TAKE DOOR A" and "TAKE DOOR B". While in the long run, these have no last impact on the story, they will decide how easily to can pass each segment. Some tasks also require the use of the action button, which is located on the foregrip of the carbine. An example of this is bomb diffusing. You will be given a wire cutter cursor on the screen, and you must move the cursor around with the carbine. When you arrive at the wire you wish to cut, you press the action button to cut the wire. Other special tasks involve a sniper or rocket launcher screen. In the sniper screens, both players are given laser sights on the screen. Players are given a time limit to eliminate a set number of enemies. The challenge in this is that if you miss, the enemies become alerted of snipers, and take cover. The sniper rifle must be reloaded between every shot. The same applies to the rocket launcher, although you lock onto a target, and then fire.

Story
--------
Both players are part of an elite special forces squad called The Ghosts. The Ghosts undertake the very hardest of military operations. While this is not much of a story, you will soon find yourself trying to take down down a group of terrorists. Nothing special, but enough to keep the game moving at a rapid fire pace. This is an arcade game that anyone should try out when they get the chance. While some people find it difficult, veteran arcade light gun players should find that they will be comfortable in the difficulty.
