Ghost Rider is a total rip-off. Only harcore fans can have the heart to actually appreciate the poor use of their hero.

Ghost Rider in simple words is an OK attempt by 2K at presenting the movie in playable form.. The game takes you on a journey with motorbike stuntman Jonny Blaze / Ghost Rider who is looking to stop the menace of Mephisto, Blackheart and all the other goons you will take out like Vengeance, Balckout, Blah Blah Blah. The game suffers from repetitive gameplay, lack of different enemies, lack of variety and definitely a lack of storyline. Although a true Ghost Rider fan (like myself) will enjoy the game because, well its Ghost Rider and he is awesome.

The graphics arent all that great. And look even worse if you have played God Of War and DMC a few times over. The fighting controls are exactly the same as God Of War and even the action is pretty similar. But unlike GoW, the enemies and the combos look poorly animated.

One thing thats a little different from other games are the Hellcycle missions. Although fun at the beginning, they get unecesarily irritating and long as they progress. Boss fights are also a little stupid. The word STRATEGY is miles, and i mean miles, away from this game. Another thing dissapointing is the enemies. How the hell does a bat manage to take 20 hits from GR and still survive. I mean thats just stupid. And you also have clowns on uni-cycles chasing you on your Hellcycle. I mean how do they even keep up.

The upgrade system though is a little ok. Its still pretty much the same. Collecting Orbs, or rather SOULS, to fill up your upgrade meters. One thing that rocks in the game is the extras section and cheats you unlock after you complete the game. You get Invincibility, One hit kills, Infinite everything and get to play as Vengeance, GR 2099 and Blade (Yeah Baby!!!). And the cheats can be used on any difficulty. Wish that was there in Titan Mode in GoW, SIGH!! All in all, its a not so fun game for the average gamer, repititive gameplay, hideously boring storyline and lame cut-scenes. As they say at GS, "Ghost Rider is ultimately just another flaming corpse to toss on the pile of failed licensed action games."
