Despite their flaws the two Gex games have always been favorites of mine. This was the first 3D game I ever played on the Playstation. Anyone else a fan of these games?

Well technically there's 5 Gex games if you count the two portables but I was aware of this. I was just talking about the games on the N64.

*sigh* Well I guess if I want to jump around and stick to walls there's always the Spider-man games :p

Oh, Ok haha. If you want more Gex there is also a book called "Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko Novelization"

Did not know they made Gex into a novel. From what I gathered it's more a book suitable for young children though.

Only novels based on games I ever got into were the Resident Evil books. Awesome reads if you're a fan of the series as they do a fairly good job of fleshing out the games events.

    Bump for Gex.

And if anyone out there wants to see a funny old review from Gaming in the Clinton Years check out this link. The reviewer is probably the biggest failure ever who cries about the most pointless things in his reviews.

Oops my bad! I had a killer head ache at the time yesterday and focusing on anything was almost impossible.

Quite a few of that guys reviews are funny just because he'll whine about the most senseless crap.

I agree with what he said about the controls. But I'm tired of how everybody has to say this is a Mario 64 "clone" it's annoying.

This is a better review that gives the game more justice

Not a bad review. I tend to like the reviews that rant about why they hate the game just since I already know why these games are good.

So what other platforming games do you like? Some of my all time favorites are the Rare games like Conker's Bad Fur Day and Banjo Kazooie. Others are the Jak series, Super Mario Sunshine, Tomba, and old school platformers like Sonic and Megaman.

I can't believe no one else stops by here. Even the PS board is dead. People must really hate Dana Gould.

Love the Japanese box art of the PS version. Gex looks like a Blues Brother....or a mobster.

That goes for a lot of anything from Japanese sadly. Us Americans try to withhold some sense of dignity instead of just doing what you want like giving a Gecko black shades and a lit cigar. One of the things I like most about Japanese media is how more open it is with subject matter.

And this has nothing to do with anything but this woman's face is hilarious. Had to share.

    Never played the 3rd one...
I can see why this got bad reviews but Gex himself is a pretty charming fellow (hate the bounce noise though).
I loved the Gexzilla fight in this.
