Here, we'll provide some technical support by covering some frequently-asked questions about Wii hardware and common issues. If you have other questions or issues you can't find here, be sure to visit GameSpot's Wii Answers, where the most common questions have already been answered--and where you can ask more of your own, if you need to.

I'm having problems getting my games to respond to my Wii Remote's input.

Because the Wii Remote uses a light sensor, it's possible that other bright lights in the room may be affecting the light input on your controllers. Consider dimming the lights in the room and/or turning off unnecessary bright lights nearby while playing. You may also want to look into getting the Wii MotionPlus add-on covered in the hardware section to improve your Wii Remote's responsiveness. Please see Nintendo's support site for more details.

I keep getting error code 110213 or 32002. What gives?

This error code is the result of a WiiConnect24 update. Unfortunately, you may have to send back your Wii unit to Nintendo for repairs. The company will ship back your console in a few days. Please see Nintendo's support site for more details.

I'm having trouble getting online.

In order to get your Wii online and hooked up to Nintendo's Wi-Fi Connection, you need to have a high-speed Internet connection, preferably with a wireless router. The company has a list of recommended network hardware (adapters and routers) and has noted that there have been some issues for users with specific Internet service providers. Please see Nintendo's support site for more details.
