Geometry Wars is easily the most addicting game available on the Xbox Live Arcade.

Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved is easily one of the best game on the Xbox live Arcade. With its super challenging and super addicting gameplay it will definetly have you sucked in for a long time. The gameplay is super simple and easy to pick up but the game is very hard to master. You control a small ship and have to roam around a small map destroying enemies. Sound simple enough? Because it isn't because once you get about a minute into the game tons and tons of enemies will start to pour into the area making it a struggle to stay alive. The only way to destroy these enemies is by shooting them or bombing. You control you ship with the left control stick and you use the right stick to fire. This system works great because of how easy it is to learn you also have moms that will destroy all enemies on the screen these are used by pulling either trigger. The graphics in Geometry Wars are pretty good they aren't fantastic but they have a nice style to them. The sound is pretty good also. There are plenty of nice sound effects and the games soundtrack is great. Value wise Geometry Wars is a game that you will be playing for a long time. Its one of those games that you can pick up and play for a little while. But its also fun if you play it for a longer period of time. Since Geometry Wars is a very hard game it would make sence if the achievements were hard. Well they are making Geometry Wars one of the hardest Arcade games for achievements. You get them mostly by scoring large amounts of points and scoring large amounts of points without dieing which isn't easy. All in all Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved is easily one of the best games on the Xbox Live Arcade and at the low price of 400 Microsoft Points (roughly $5) is totally worth your money.
