It certainly was a nice attempt at new gameplay based on tetris.
You have the ablity to rotate and turn the falling 3D blocks in any direction creating about 24 combinations. There are Three single-player modes available, including a split-screen contest that lets gamers battle against a "Geom Fighter". The objective is to force your opponent to the top of his pit by eliminating faces and adding them to your opponent's pile of blocks (like in other tetris-like puzzle games). You can also win by being the first to eliminate 21 faces. There is a two-player mode that's very similar to thhe single player mode. There's also a Finite and Infinite modes that let you play up to 99 levels or and endless amount of levels respectively.
Geom Cube is an interesting concept, but lacks any pizzazz and excitement tot he gameplay, and memory card support for saving progress. It's rather a very simple game in concept and very quickly pulled off. It's an early PS title so expect it to not be as polished as other later PS games. It certainly was a nice attempt at new gameplay based on tetris.
