Jeff Vogel did it again!
Geneforge 4: Rebellion is a traditional rpg with turn-based combat. As in the previous games you play as a young shaper in a vast world. Unlike before you start this time on the side of the rebels, who are under attack in their last bastion on the main land of Terrestria. In the course of the game you can switch sides to the all-powerful shapers or go on a mysterious third path...
Again graphics and sound are ameliorated, but still have a defined 90's look, and will thus look outdated for newcomers to Geneforge. The story is as compelling as always and includes this time no less than five chapters. New spells and creatures, like the mighty awe-inspiring kyshakk. New items are added and some tricky new features like shaper-killing fences. Also the crafting of powerful objects, as added in Geneforge 3, is better than ever.
