One of the best reasons to own a 360.

Gears of War was probably one of the biggest surprises of 06 and I must say I'm impressed with this game. First of all the graphics are nothing short of beautiful. The way the characters look are amazing and the detail is the best the 360 can do. Epic Games has probably made one of the best games to own on 360 right now until Halo 3 comes out. The controls are very responsive and the one button for hiding and taking cover is well done. The game is no cake walk though, enemies will outnumber you and have you thinking on your feet and having you find cover in a jiffy. Even on casual the game is still hard. One of the things the game could improve on is the story and the characters aren't fleshed out that much, but I guess we'll have to wait til Gears of War 2 comes out to fix that. The game is short, but the multiplayer will keep you busy for a while. So if you looking for a killer app for your 360 look no further than Gears of War.
