Gears of War looks great, plays great, and even has great multi-player modes that will keep the game rolling.

Gears of War impressed me from the very start, both graphically and mechanically. I consider shooters my worse type of game. I'm just not that good at them and well I played through the entire game on Casual and I had a blast. The controls are really great and the context sensitive controls really stand out. Taking cover is just a simple concept but the way in which it was integrated into this game is like none I have ever seen before. I started playing it on Hardcore after beating it on Casual and I am still doing really well so the difficulty seems to have progressed well. The plot is necessarily simplified to get straight to the action and that's perfectly fine here. I sometimes get a Resident Evil vibe (just for comparison's sake) from the game when going up against enemies such as the Berzerker which is a nice touch and adds even more suspense and variation to the game.

I play all my games on a standard TV, cause that's all I have, but none-the-less the graphics are incredible top-notch work along with the voice-acting, sound effects, music, and so on.

The Multiplayer is great, particularly in that you can co-op and play the actual game with someone online. I haven't seen a game put any emphasis on co-op multiplayer in a long time and it is really refreshing to get away from the head-head "I'm better than you mentality." Not to say that i don't enjoy the versus multiplayer, it's a blast as well.
