Just bought this game off the GFWL Marketplace and it will not work.

I downloaded and installed and then clicked on the game to start and absolutely nothing happens. I click on it again and a window pops telling me that an application has already started. Bare with me because I am an absolute noob when it comes to PC gaming. I had problems running Halo 2 and got it to work, but failed miserably with Gears.
My PC stats are:
Hewlett-Packard
4.3 rating for Windows Experience Index
AMD Athlon(tm) II X3 440 Processor 3.00 GHZ
4 GiGs of installed RAM (3.74 usable)
Windows Vista 64 bit OS
I tried downloading the patches but got this message for each patch
"Old file not found.Howewer,a file of the same name was found. No update done because files do not mach."
I also tried running as an administrator but nothing happens. any suggestions?

I had a similar problem too, but I think a patch fixed it. Took me forever and the update wouldn't auto download, so I had no idea what to do. Glad you figured it out.
