I was a great fan of this franchise till "Judgment" happens. Call it GOW COD edition, nothing wrong with that but it is not even close to the previous games, people can fly but also can screw great franchise.

Chris Watters dusts off his Gnasher and heads back into the fray in this video review for Gears of War: Judgment.
So disappointed to hear that this game sucks. The Gears of War games have always been 9 or 10/10. They should have put more time into it, they had the rest of the year to release it...and a 7.5?!?!?!?!!?!? Come on epic, WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?!?
are they seriously leaving marcus out of this one, cause gears isn't gears without him.
Campaign is easily the best part of this title. The multiplayer is a steaming pile of turds.
Looks like the devs of "Judgment" tried to combine the story-mode & multi-player features, all into the campaign mode, and ended up with mixed results at best. Still, it doesn't look like the game is unplayable or really bad just because of this change.
You can tell it's the B Team behind this game. Finally played some of it at a friend's place tonight...the campaign has no kind of flow to it and Survival Mode is extremely dull and repetitive. Didn't try the other modes. Very underwhelmed and glad I didn't buy it.
It looks like it had a lower budget than the previous games. However with the economy the past couple of years and looking at other games that has been released within the last year I would say the entire industry is on the B-Team as they had to cut back on the budget for game development.
Multiplayer is sooooooo bad. Judgment is horrendous. Did anyone else here play Gears 3 online? This game is a joke masquerading as a Gears game. 7.5? I wish. 3.5 to be nice. Back to Gears 3
So effin' shitty! I want to watch 'Gears of War: Judgment - Video Review' and I get a 30s advert for Gears of War: Judgement. You're so damn stupid.
ill be honest GOW judgment isnt as good as GOW 3 but 7.5 ..... that a bit too low it should be wither 8 or 8.5
I think the review is fair and the score is right. Forget the previous epic campaign, the story is ordinary. Of course the multiplayer is fun but everything seem scaled down since Gow3. I do not think the people can fly are as good as epic game, at least on this one. Regards
The lenght of the campaign depends of course of the difficulty level if you play it on insane it will be VERY LONG to complete and it's even harder if you play with 3 more players, the campaign is awesome but the downside came in the multiplayer first off there are just 4 maps for competitive multiplayer and 4 maps for survival and overrun mode ,wich means that you get tired of running in the same scenarios pretty fast, the DOWN BUT NOT OUT state has been taken out as well as the EXECUTIONS for the competitive multiplayer wich was something awful ,at least the developers should give us the option to turn off or turn on the DBNO or execution in every competitive game mode, another bad move was the removal of KING OF THE HILL wich for me was one of the greatest modes that gears of wars had to offer,KOTH was "replaced" by domination wich simply doesn't work with the gears of war mechanics and it's very boring to play,so there you have it great campaign mediocre multiplayer, i really hope that the developers give us back the DBNO and executions in all modes (not only in execution mode) and KING OF THE HILL in future dlc's or titel updates otherwise the multiplayer of this game is doomed.
Here is my opinion):
Gears 1: ground-breaking gameplay and graphics, creepy and memorable soundtrack, fun/challenging online, dark, horror sci-fi shooter, with a campaign that left some intriguing questions.
Gears 2: a downgrade artistically (cartoony/colourful), clunky/slowed down movements, online was no where near as fun as Gears 1 (especially at first without the 6 title updates, terrible servers and ranking system), campaign was sweet but hindered by the bad points previously mentioned, soundtrack not as memorable, cut scenes lazy/visually un-impressive in comparison to the first Gears (Kim and Raam scene one of the best cut scenes ever in a video game in my opinion.
Gears 3: great physics - movement felt really nice, pretty terrible story-wise, artistically even more cartoony than 2, graphics awesome, online ran pretty smoothly and was fun but was hindered by the overpowered sawd off, retro lancer, and ink, preferred locust to lambent.
Gears J: terrible cash cow piece of shit that's ruined Gears for me.
I wont get this game... I like games with single player. I dont like games that has a lot of Multiplayer with some Single Player.... COD i am looking at you.... You piece of "Pupies"....
Dishonored- 6-8 hours
Aliens colonial marines- 4-6 hours
God of war: Ascension 6-8 hours
Metal gear revengance -4-6 hours
I'm seeing a trend...
@Xxthesorrow90xX @b0sse @Battle_Pants I put at least 15 hours for Dishonored. But I was doing stealth and collecting everything.
The difference in these games is so small.. Making these spin-off games is just money in the bank for these companies, shit I'd make em too, for some it's an instant purchase just cause of the GoW name
very bad score for a Gears game but it changes nothing am getting this and all other Gears branded cgames
@steelmouth Now this is an intelligent comment right here. Yup, no consumerism at all in this guy.
@mirage_so3 @steelmouth Moron, that's not what he's saying, he's saying that he loves the series and this review will not dissuade him. This is a brand that has a track record to give buyers confidence in this new game. I feel the same way. Unless I see a review panning a GOW game, or any game for that matter I'm most likely going to pick it up, sooner or later.

changing buttons for no reason, Taking guns away from your inventory.. game is almost as bad as gears of war 2 . and when i say bad i mean like a 6.5 or 7. Bad for gear's standard
Gears of War 2 was the best in the series. Gears of War 1 was good door opener, but Gears of War 3 sucked. GeoW3 was short, left you wanting more in the story, cheap multiplayer, and overall forgettable like GeoW Judgement.
@Elann2008 @slonekb05 i disagree dude gow3 is the crown of the series, sure gow1 and gow2 were absolutely awesome by the time they were releases but gow3 bring speed and agility to the gameplay something that gow judgement takes even further with the change of controls that makes everything more fast paced, but as overall experience in every game mode gow3 for me still is the king of the franchise,i'm waiting for the gow judgement dlc's to prove me wrong.Actually i am still playing gow3 instead of gow judgement you know for 4 aren't enough for me
@Elann2008 @slonekb05 Whaaaaaat.....I love Gears 3....it's one of my favorite games, they did SUCH a good job with the story and tied everything up! I think this game is forgettable. I mean...I find it really unnecessary that they released this after Gears 3, because 3 was awesome.
@Supabul @slonekb05 Gears 2 took a LONG time to get to an acceptable standard due to bad matchmaking and gross cheating/exploits that took a year to get patched out. "Glitching" out of the map to avoid confrontation is still possible, and the game can still corrupt your save and wipe your achievement progress at any time.
7.5 is still a good score. I am still a fan of the franchise, but I'm going to wait until the price drops.
Yes, get the DLC as it adds much more to the story, especially Raams Shadow.
Compare this to the IGN review... IGN said its a level above GoW3 and gave the game a 9.2...
@philerus97 Holy shit, they have different opinions! The end times are among us.
@Bleak5170 Really? Aw, man. Thought I wiki'd that one good.
Lol it's all good. I'm a bit of a Gears fanatic. He was a private in some of the books if that helps.
@Biggs613 @Bleak5170 @Chris_Watters
Yes that is correct. SPOILER WARNING!!!!!!!!!
Until the end of the game.
Saw this coming. No its not a total flop 7.5 is a decent score but it's easy to see this game overall was just a money grab by Epic...
sounds like it delivers the same sort of fare...I wonder if I'll regret getting this on release...
