Yes, it's a flashback, but then at the end of the game the last mission is in real time.

I hope the campaign is as enjoyable as Gears 3! I really liked how much more they added cutscenes and developed the characters in the third one. As far as storytelling goes, each sequel vastly built on the last one. That had better continue...

@Muyypotpie Competitive play is the horrible part of Gears. I dislike all Competitive modes on games. I am not competitive. Beast and Horde were loads of fun and enjoyment, but they have been removed. Also, there is no need to call me an "idiot" and make yourself look exactly like the people ruining online gaming. Immature and insulting everyone.

Morgan Webb seems cool. She's pretty "famous" as far as gaming goes, but she seems like that hasn't affected her in a negative way. Also Cliffy B, no matter how many people hate on him, seems like a pretty cool gaming "celebrity". He seems like he's pretty in touch with what gamers want and need, even though he dissed PC gamers back in '08.

@andrewwittmaier People hate on him for his dbag comments. Also weird that gamespot usually uploads full page articles for his simple one liners. Gears has inflated his ego.

My only issue with this game is where the hell is Marcus Fenix??? I never really liked Baird too much... and that girl is a pretty poor trade for Anya : (
