Gears of War: Judgment and it has been JUDGED wanting

User Rating: 4 | Gears of War: Judgment X360
The Good:
-Decent characters, I have always enjoyed Baird's and Cole's personality compared to the cardboard cutout that were Marcus and Dom
-Star system that makes campaign less stagnant as it challenges you to complete the level in a variety of ways
-New overrun mode which is a combination of Horde and Beast in competitive multiplayer
-No more forever marcus, if you join a MP match in progress you still keep your character and Skin.

The Bad
-DLC (Disk Locked Content). The game has a large variety of goodies and extra that you are forced to pay outrageous prices for content that is shipped with the game.
-Versus, in this game the Multiplayer runs on a completely different system to the Campaign (and Gears 3):
No down but not out, all close quarter combat maps, no more executions unique to guns, no more curb stomps, no more grenade plants/tags, hipfire crosshair and no more stopping power on rifles. All these features that were removed are still present in the campaign!
-MP designed to be Gnashers of War. Everything about the multiplayer has been designed to tailor to the Gnasher and punish players for using any other weapon, especially now that there are only single weapon load outs in MP. Things like the Sawn-off now just being a slower to reload gnasher and the 2-piece making a glorious return.
- very limited Map choices, there are 8 maps shipped with the game but only 4 in versus modes and 4 in survival/overrun modes.
-No stopping power in MP makes any gun that is not the flamer or Gnasher 100% pointless, especially with being limited to single weapon loadouts.
-Microtransactions for XP, which is pointless in this game to begin with.

The Final Verdict.
The game is good from a campaign point of view but the game is completely ruined by the multiplayer, this could be a great game by simply making the multiplayer play the same as the campaign which compared to all the other shooting games is perfect and would of got a 10 review, however the failings in Multiplayer combined with being forced to pay A LOT extra for all the content already on disk really brings this game to below average.
