Pure Epicness!!!
You can easily tell that Epic Games responded to all the criticism and complaints that fans and critics alike have **** about and fixed them. The cover mechanic had been tweaked to almost perfection, the guns are as visceral as ever, and the story had tied up all the loose ends and questions that Gears of War 2 presented. This Gears of War decided to throw all kinds of **** at you during the long and satisfying campaign. The new enemy types are amazing. From standard drones to lambent berserkers, there are a variety of enemies that present the core gameplay from getting monotonous. There are few surprise enemy types that I won't mention here so as not to ruin it for people who haven't played it. The new executions are as visceral and amazing as ever. Every gun has it;s own unique execution, so I guarantee that you will pick up every weapon at least once just so you can see it. The story also was able to adduce strong emotion, something that the other two tried to do, but ultimately came up short. I haven't had a chance to truly experience the new Horde and Beast mode yet, but when I do I'll be sure to write a review on it. The multiplayer is as awesome as ever. They fixed a lot of the issues that plagued the second Gears, so fans who were turned off from the multiplayer will be happy to jump into this one. In conclusion, a truly outstanding game that deserves Game of the Year. So stop reading reviews and go get the damn game!
