A great shooter that puts it's mark on the story of Gears of War series and brings a fitting end to Fenix's journey.

It can be difficult to expand on a series and keep it interesting, but Gears of War 3 does so through expansion of the story more than of the weaponry or scenery with which you fight throughout the campaign.

If you're looking for vast improvements in armor, weapons, battle scenarios, or enemies, specifically for multi-player purposes, this is not your game. You'll actually find, hopefully not too late to save you from hating this review, that if you stick with Gears of War 2, you're playing pretty much the same game, but with few new weapons and some new maps/gear. Everything else is the same.

As far as new weaponry, you will still find that the human weapons are the best to use, especially the Chainsaw Machine Gun. The new weapons, such as the Reaver, are inaccurate to a fault and will likely get you killed if you are using them too often.

This is the first installment where we see a loss for team member as well as a loss for Marcus, both in family and in friend. The story really makes this game into an epic journey, rather than another installment where you spend $60 to play multi-player online and there are no improvements.

So, if you love stories along with your gaming experience, Gears of War 3 did an excellent job of re-creating an interesting plot that died down a bit in the second installment. They also brought finality to the trilogy that let's gamers know, this is really it, there is nothing more, I hope you enjoyed yourselves.
