Perfect!!! Hit it on the nose...

User Rating: 10 | Gears of War 3 X360
The reason I gave this game a 10 was because of many things and I will explain each of them in this review...

The Story: The story was superb it was well acted and well put together. For anyone who does not know it is filled with easter eggs and hidden things to find. The storyline itself completes Gears of War just right. With a great ending. The story was filled with twists and turns some I did not even see coming and I played all 3 games in the trilogy. I give the story a 10 out of 10.

The Gameplay: The gameplay was nothing innovative as it was the same style of gameplay used in the earlier installments of Gears of War. It was just refined and perfected. Also the new addition of weapons to this game was well needed. I give the gameplay a 9 out of 10

The Presentation: The visuals of this game are outstanding! The slimy goo of the lambent bosses in the game is beautiful and the way it explodes in different ways makes the player feel impowered. The outfits and the weapons look great and every enemy is a fun new way to see how they will react. I give the presentation a 10 out of 10.

The Competitive Multiplayer: The weakest point in this game in my opinion is the competitive multiplayer. Now I do not suck at Gears of War (as I have played all three of them but, no matter what you are doing whether it be deathmath or wingman it seams that you are always put in a game with the kids who are crazy good at the game and no every twist and turn in dispatching a foe. It seams with a game this big you would have thought that Epic games would have put a way to put the really good players with the really good players and the bad players with the bad players. I give the competitive multiplayer a 8 out of 10

The Cooperative Multiplayer: This part of the game was very fun in its own right. The player could chose between horde and campaign to play with a buddy. I tended to chose horde more but that is just me. The co-op had a way of playing to it that made you feel like you were a team and had to stick together or be left to a grusome fate. The addition of fortifications to horde mode was a huge leap from Gears of Wars 2. Now instead of always figuratively making a base with a friend you could do it for real. Also you could protect that base with lazers, turrets, and even a huge robot with a machine gun called a silverback. I give the co-op a 10 out of 10.

Overall this game earns a 10. Although the Competitive Multiplayer was flawed it is just a minor thing to overlook in such a huge game. Sorry for the lengthy review but every aspect of this game needed to be reviewed. I recommend this game to everyone to play.
