Capcom announces Resident Evil Gaiden
The Game Boy Color Resident Evil game is coming to the US.
Capcom has announced plans to bring a new Resident Evil game to the Game Boy Color this year. The game, already available in Europe, contains three playable characters--Barry, Leon, and a new character named Lucia. The game is viewed mostly from a top-down perspective, but it switches to a first-person view for combat. Combat has a timing-based feature that works almost like a golf meter. If players stop the meter in the right position, their shot hits.
Resident Evil Gaiden takes place on various seagoing vessels, from a cruise liner to a submarine. The game is scheduled for release in March.
