Iron Maiden takes Downhill Jam

Metal legends contribute song to Tony Hawk game for Wii; "Different World" will blare while gamers skate down streets.

Shooting down steep hills on a plank of wood on wheels just wouldn't sound right accompanied by polka, classical, or opera music. One of heavy metal's classic bands, Iron Maiden, will be included in the soundtrack to Activision's Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam, reports music Web site Blabbermouth. The song "Different World" from the forthcoming album A Matter of Life and Death has been selected as part of the game's soundtrack, says Blabbermouth. Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam is scheduled for release on the Wii, Nintendo DS, and Game Boy Advance later this year.

    Alright! Now it would be better if more games had Iron Maiden tacks on them. I could just see it now: C&C3 with The Clansman running in the background.............

    Yah alot have fallen, especially Def Leppard, what the hell is with all this pop bull carp? ._.
    Ah oh well, I hear the newest album will have more hard rock
    And Maiden ftw
    I hope they follow SSX on tour and have a metal theme ^_^

    I forgot that what kind of music you listen to determines if you're a "real" skater. I guess only "cool" people listen to certain music then, as if personality could ever possibly figure into that >_> Obviously it doesn't for some people........

    Huge coincidence. I just ordered my Iron Maiden tickets on TicketMaster, and then I went to Gamespot and saw this. "Different Worlds" is an excellent song, and I'm sure the rest of the soundtrack will be rockin' as well.
