EA releases FIFA soundtrack list

Electronic Arts today revealed the music that footie fans will be kicking it to in its upcoming soccer sim, FIFA 06. The game's up-tempo tunes will be provided by an eclectic mix of artists from around the world, from Norway's Röyksopp to Jamaica's Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley. Those who don't often venture beyond the boundaries of the FM band will be happy to know that more familiar acts like Oasis and Jamiroquai are also featured.

Additions to this year's game include team chemistry and implementation of the advantage rule on the field, and a full-blown team management mode off the field. FIFA 06 will also feature a downloadable roster update and the full version of FIFA 94 in the PlayStation 2 version of the game.

FIFA 06 is rated E for Everyone and will be released in September for the Xbox, PS2, and GameCube for $49.99 and for the PC for $39.99. A $49.99 PSP version and $29.99 Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS editions are due in October. The game is also slated to appear on the Xbox 360 later this year.
