Yu Yu Hakusho coming to the GBA

The popular Cartoon Network show is getting the game treatment.

Atari says that Yu Yu Hakusho: Spirit Detective will ship for the GBA in December. The game is based on the popular Yu Yu Hakusho animated television show that airs on the Cartoon Network, which is produced by FUNimation Productions, the studio behind Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z.

Developed by Sensory Sweep Studios, the game follows the story of 14-year-old Yusuke Urameshi, who sacrifices himself to save a child in a traffic accident but is allowed to return to Earth to assume a new life--and now has amazing powers. Players can assume the role of one of six main characters--Yusuke, Kuwabara, Kurama, Hiei, Botan, and Kayko--and explore 22 levels that re-create some chapters from the show.
