Official X2: Wolverine's Revenge Web site launched
Activision opens the official Web site for its upcoming superhero action game.
Activision has announced that the official Web site for X2: Wolverine's Revenge is now open. The site features screenshots, gameplay movies, wallpapers, and background story about the surly superhero made famous by Marvel's X-Men comic books. X-Men fans can also go there to preorder the game and find links to the official X2 motion picture and Marvel Comics Web sites.
As the title suggests, X2: Wolverine's Revenge is an X-Men game whose plot centers strictly around Wolverine and his quest to find a cure for a deadly virus that afflicts him and other survivors of the Weapon X project. Hard-core X-Men fans will be happy to note that the game's story is written by Marvel author Larry Hama, who wrote Wolverine comic books for several years. X2: Wolverine's Revenge is slated to ship April 15 for the PC, Xbox, PS2, GameCube, and Gameboy Advance. For more information about the game, check out our recent preview.

If the developers of Wolverine's Revenge hadn't been under the gun to produce the game in time to capitalize on the new X-Men movie, the end results would have probably been more polished and generally more playable.
