Ever watch Shrek or Shrek 2 and wish that the titular character would slap the chatterbox Donkey in the face? Those who said "yes" will be pleased to know that Activision today released Shrek SuperSlam for the Xbox, PlayStation 2, GameCube, DS, and Game Boy Advance. A PC version punches its way to retail in early November, and all versions have been rated E10+ for Everyone 10 and Older.

The game supports up to four players for a bit of melee mayhem with characters from the Shrek universe, including Puss-in-Boots, Princess Fiona, and Prince Charming. There are 20 characters in total, each with his or her own special moves and weapons.

Developer Shaba Games handled the console versions, and the GBA and DS versions resulted from a combined effort between Amaze Entertainment and Griptonite Games.

Shrek SuperSlam retails for $39.99 for the console versions and $29.99 for the handheld editions.
