Majesco announces Dark Arena GBA
Majesco adds to its Game Boy Advance lineup with Dark Arena.
At its Game Boy Advance press event today in San Francisco, Majesco formally unveiled its upcoming GBA first-person shooter, Dark Arena. Dark Arena is a futuristic first-person shooter that's very reminiscent of the PC FPS Doom. Dark Arena will feature a completely original storyline and characters, and it will have several weapons and maps to keep players interested.
The early build displayed had no active weapons, but it looked and played extremely similarly to early PC first-person shooters like Doom and Wolfenstein 3D. Dark Arena will support four-player multiplayer action, with modes such as deathmatch, capture the flag, and assault. Unfortunately, Majesco was unable to announce more specific details regarding the title, as the game is at a very early stage in development. The game is currently scheduled for a holiday release on the Game Boy Advance.
