I love Gamespot, as you can see I'm a Rescue Ranger (HA!). I do not know what their problem is with this game so I felt the need to review it myself.
Having played well over a hundred hours of this game I know a lot about it. Truth be told there are some levels that are just tedious and probably not fun. The BATTLEFIELDS at the very end of the game are way too long and are difficult to navigate. Lots of back tracking.
There are a ton more levels that are just a blast to play through. The very first level is a lot of fun, as well as the jungle levels and Egyptian themed levels just to name a few. I find myself coming back to this game from time to time, and everytime I do I can't put it down for at least 2 hours. Many special weapons and attacks, characters to choose from, and the fact that at certain point when you level up, your character model changes, I LOVE THAT!
It isn't perfect, however the pros outweigh the cons in my opinion, and when played with a friend ( or three! ) it's just a blast to play.

Looks better than the original, but no improvement on the playability.

I recorded more footage for my last video blog than I actually used (as I usually do), so I figured why not get around to posting the rest of the footage. Here's more game-play from Gauntlet: Dark Legacy.Posted Apr 18, 2009

- When you defeat Skorne, the final boss, of Gauntlet Legends, your mentor suggests you take a vacation. This image is then unlocked, and shows the Yellow Wizard, Green Archer, Red Warrior, and Blue Valkyrie on the beach doing just that.Posted Apr 22, 2007
