This is a pretty bad game.

Gangs of London pretty much sucks. There are a wide variety of modes to choose from, but none of them are very interesting. In story mode, you choose a gang, then do some random, yet repetitive levels with objectives like killing all the bad guys, or saving someone (which means killing all the bad guys). The city you are in is big with plenty of places to go, but all of them look the same. If you want to explore the city though, you can play the free roaming mode. There are multiple free roaming mode modes, where you can do various different objectives, but the one you will probably end up playing is free driving mode. In this mode you have no objectives, so you can just drive around. Unfortunately, that is just about all you can do. If you find it fun to go around killing civilians, rather than just seeing the bland, repeated scenery, then this is not the mode for you, because civilians don't die. But, if you try, the police will arrive instantly and start shooting at you. Fortunately, you can kill the police, but it's not that much fun.

Another mode you can play is the gang battle mode. It is a strategic, board game like mode, that is not very fun or interesting. You basically send out members of your gang to gain territory, but you can't do the fighting. You are just stuck on the same map of London the whole time. The final mode you can play is the pub. They are basically mini games like pool and darts. They aren't that bad, but they aren't very good either. I have to say though, I like them a bit better than the story mode. They are kind of addicting, even though it's supposed to be a game about gangs of London, not boring pub games of London. Pretty much, it's nothing special, and if you are hoping for a game as good as Grand Theft Auto, then keep looking, because it doesn't even come close.
