SWEEPSTAKES OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS
Sponsored by Sierra Entertainment, Inc. ("Sierra") and Fox Interactive and its promotional partners ("Sponsors"). The Sweepstakes is being managed and fulfilled by Gamespot.com("GameSpot")
NO ENTRY FEE. NO PURCHASE OR OBLIGATION NECESSARY TO PLAY OR WIN. Entry deadline is April 30, 2003.
1. Eligibility: The DARK ANGEL™ Sweepstakes (the "Sweepstakes") is open to all legal residents of the United States (excluding Arizona, New York, Florida, Rhode Island and Puerto Rico), age 18 or older, which have an active e-mail account and Internet access as of the beginning of the Sweepstakes period.
Employees of Sponsor and its respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies, their immediate family members and persons living in their same household, are not eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes. Participation in the Sweepstakes constitutes entrant's full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules & Regulations ("Official Rules"). VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
2. To Enter: You may enter the Sweepstakes in one of two ways:
(a) To enter online, select the Sweepstake link from the GameSpot homepage (http://www.GameSpot.com/) on the GameSpot.com web site between November 21, 2002 at 12:00 AM, (PST), and April 30, 2003, at 23:59 PM, (PST). Fill out the entry form in its entirety, and click on the button to submit the form.
(b) To enter by mail without obligation, hand write your name, mailing address, phone number, and e-mail address (if applicable) on a 4"x6" card and mail to: The Official DARK ANGEL Sweepstakes, Gamespot.com, 235 2nd Street, San Francisco, CA 94105.. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by April 30, 2003 and be received by May 10, 2003.
No mechanically reproduced mail-in entries are allowed and any use of robotic, automatic, programmed or the like entry methods will void all such entries by such methods.
Only one entry per person, household and/or e-mail address is permitted, regardless of method of entry. Entrants submitting multiple entries or violating any of these Official Rules may be disqualified.
3. Prize Drawing: All Sweepstakes entries meeting the requirements of these Official Rules will be entered into the prize drawing, to be held on or around May 11, 2003 at the GameSpot offices, 235 2nd Street, San Francisco, CA 94105. Impartial persons whose decisions are final and binding will conduct the drawing. One (1) Grand Prize Winner, ten (10) First Prize Winners, will be selected at random from among all eligible entries received.
4. Prizes and Odds: The prizes to be awarded from the Sweepstakes are as follows:
(a) The Grand Prize Winner shall win a Blata PocketBike with an approximate retail value ("ARV") of $3,000. The winner of the Sweepstakes shall have until May 30, 2002 to redeem the prize. All other expenses not specifically mentioned herein, including applicable income taxes, are the sole responsibility of the winner.
(b) Ten (10) First Prizes: James Cameron's DARK ANGEL Prize Pack. Each prize pack will consist of one (1) of the below listed actual props used in the movie;

The odds of winning a prize depend on the total number of eligible entries received. Winners are solely responsible for any and all federal, state, provincial and local taxes that apply to prizes. No prize transfer. There is no prize substitution or cash equivalent except at the sole discretion of the sponsor due to prize unavailability for any reason and only then for a prize of equal value. The Sponsor will not replace any lost or stolen prizes.
Total value of all prizes to be awarded: $3316.98 (U.S.) (if Prize Pack contains $50.00 prop) or $3091.08 (if Prize Pack contains $25.00 prop)
5. Notification of Winners: Winners will be notified by e-mail, phone and/or Federal Express within 7 days of selection and may be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and publicity/liability release within 7 days of notification. If a selected Winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim a prize and/or where applicable an affidavit of eligibility and publicity/liability release is not timely received, is incomplete or modified, prize may be forfeited and an alternate Winner will be selected from remaining valid, eligible entries timely submitted. In the event of a dispute regarding who submitted an entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the e-mail account specified in the entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. No automatically generated entries will be accepted.
6. Privacy Policy: Any personal information supplied by you to GAMESPOT will be subject to GameSpot's privacy policy posted at http://www.cnet.com/aboutcnet/0-7251795-7-7283133.html. Notwithstanding the foregoing, by entering the Sweepstakes and by choosing to opt-in (the boxes are pre-checked) for any promotional offers on the Sweepstakes page, you grant GameSpot permission to share your email address with the corresponding Sponsor and promotional partner, Fox Interactive. Accordingly, your personal data will then be subject to the corresponding Sponsor's Privacy Policy located at http://sierra.com/company/privacy.php and the Fox Interactive Privacy Policy located at http://www.foxinteractive.com/companyinfo/privacy.html. To prevent any personal information from being supplied to the corresponding Sponsor and promotional partners, you must un-check the opt-in box prior to submitting your sweepstakes entry. GameSpot will not sell, rent, transfer or otherwise disclose your personal data to any third party other than the corresponding Sponsor and Fox Interactive whose offers you chose to opt-in. Additionally, by choosing to opt-in for a specific offer, you agree to receive additional email communications from the Sponsor and Fox Interactive.
7. General Rules: By entering, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules. The Sweepstakes is being managed and fulfilled by, Gamespot.com, 235 2nd Street, San Francisco, CA 94105, which is not responsible for late, lost, delayed, damaged, postage-due, incomplete, illegible, or misdirected entries, responses, or other correspondence, whether by e-mail or postal mail or otherwise, or for theft or destruction or unauthorized access or alterations of entry materials, phone, electrical, network, computer, hardware, software program or transmission malfunctions, failures or difficulties. By participating and winning a prize, Winner releases the Sponsor, its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, directors, officers, employees, and agents, including advertising and promotion agencies, from any and all liability with respect to the Sweepstakes or the acceptance, possession or use of any prize, including without limitation (i) any condition caused by events beyond the Sponsors control that may cause the Sweepstakes to be disrupted or corrupted; (ii) any injuries, losses, or damages (compensatory, direct, incidental, consequential or otherwise) of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of the prize, or acceptance, possession, or use of the prize, or from participation in the Sweepstakes; and (iii) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Sweepstakes. Excluding only applicable manufacturers' warranties, the prizes are provided to winners "as is" without further warranty of any kind. GamesSpot, Sierra Entertainment and Fox Interactive each disclaim all further warranties, either express or implied, including but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose with respect to the prizes. The Sponsors decisions in all respects relative to the Sweepstakes are final. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes in whole or in part, for any reason, but in particular in the event of fraud, technical or other difficulties or if the integrity of the Sweepstakes is compromised, without liability to the entrant. The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any winner, as determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion. The winner is responsible for paying any income taxes on the value of the prize received. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. All federal, state, provincial and local regulations apply.
8. Additional Conditions: Except where prohibited, by accepting any prize, Winner consents to the use of his/her name, photo and/or likeness, biographical information, winning entry and statements attributed to winner (if true) for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation. All entries become property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Allow 6-8 weeks for delivery of prizes.

Winner's List, Official Rules: For a list of prize winners or a copy of these Official Rules, send your request and a stamped, self-addressed envelope to The DARK ANGEL Video Game Sweepstakes, GameSpot, 235 2nd Street, San Francisco, CA 94105, or (for Winner's list only) send an email message to andy@gamespot.com with "Winner's list" as the email subject and Sweepstakes name specified in the body of the e-mail.
