Importance of Warp Gates
Getting around the huge game world seems daunting at first, but you soon discover that Raziel has access to many different warp gates scattered around the land. You'll know you're near a warp gate when you spot a door imprinted with a blue circular symbol. Behind these doors rest the warp gates. Activate the warp gate by simply standing on the circle located on either side of the arch. Once the gate is active, you can return to its position at any time by using any of the warp gates around the map. Simply stand on the warp gate circle, press the action button, and use the left and right movement buttons to choose the gate you wish to use.
Each warp gate carries a symbol. Make note of each symbol and the main location it represents. This will save lots of time as you try to remember how to get back to a certain area. Remember that each time you resume a saved game, you'll begin in the underworld near the first warp gate. You must use this warp gate to return to the land you were last exploring. Take the time to locate and activate any warp gates you find. They're helpful, not only in gave saves, but also when returning to previously visited lands to obtain previously unreachable power-ups.
